Amphoreus Malvasia

Just in the best vintages we select bunches with whole and healthy skins, destemm and macerate in Cretan terracotta amphorae, waxed internally with beeswax, for the whole fermentation time and later refinement until the wine gets completely clarified and stabilized naturally.

 

Vineyard: San Floriano, Monte Calvario and Lucinico, exposed SE, clay & sandstone soil

Grapes: Malvasia Istriana 100% from a mass selection of 1920s vines

Fermentation: With the skins in 240 litres clay amphorae from Crete

Ageing: In clay over the skins for 12 months and other 12 months in bottles

Bottling: By free fall direct to bottles with no pressure and no additives
